Still settling in. Still snotty. And some sentences for the win.
Topic : Daily Glimpses
So….the snot is still with us.
And we press on. And Neti-pot (me, not CBJ).
The new house is coming together slowly but surely.
Here’s the deal, we got a house that someone flipped.
So…on the plus side, no one was in it for years before we got it (no worn carpet, no crayon on the walls, no kitty cat smells).
The negative about this?
There were no “finishes” when we got the house.
So…no closets done, no towels bars, no mirrors in the bathrooms, no shower curtain rods… all of which is somewhat positive because you can get what you want.
But you have to wait to get everything installed.
The handyman came yesterday and all is hanging in the bathrooms.
And the closet guy from The Container Store is here as I type.
How is CBJ doing you ask?
She’s been handling the constant visitors really well. She has upped her nursing, I think it’s for security, which I completely get. And in a new development she now asks to “nurse” and when she thinks I’m not getting it, she asks for “boobies”. Which I personally find awesome. 🙂
She has started saying 2-3-4 word sentences too!
The 2 word sentence has been with us for a few weeks now. “Get down”, “open it”, “close it”, “mama shoes”, dada soon”, and “read this”.
She says things like now, “Bye bye mama”, “bye bye dada”, “Avery dog Grammy” (avery dog is at Grammys), “open it now”, “two doggies outside”, “put shoes on”,”open it keys”, “hello boobies, nurse” (with a wave thrown in for good measure).
Is this normal for a one and a half year old? I have no clue…I feel it’s advanced but who knows!
She’s also still eating her meals (never breakfast, thank you very much!) but enjoying pickles, tortilla, plums and rice this week.
She’s really into feeding me lately too. Her favorite is peas…one at a time.
And she has her own special play area, as in not only her room but a play space in the finished basement. And having a finished basement is a BIG win let me tell you. I’m loving it.
I’ll do run down of the closets next post. My mom gave us them for our anniversary (4 years in May. Woop! Woop!). They have tons of shelves and lots of places to stick stuff. Sweet. 🙂
Send some energy that the snot leaves us soon.
Cause it’s getting old. And gross. And I don’t want to post about it again.
