On a positive…the alarm system works!

Topic : Daily Glimpses

The weekend flew by and now it’s Monday again. Saturday marked the one week mark on us being St. Louis residents. Still a lot of boxes but we’re having people over this coming weekend so now I HAVE to unpack things.

How’s that for a motivator? 😉

Unpacking Helper. She loves the bubble wrap. :)

CBJ loves to help. She stands on the broken down boxes and squeals. She also runs around the house and says, “Boo” (as in Peek-a-Boo) as I try and put things in some sense of order. It’s cute. And she also says, “Bye Bye” or “Night, Night” to anything I put up in a drawer or into the trash.

In not unpacking news…

I joined a gym this morning. Woop! Woop!

I’m a “workout” person. I’m better if I workout.

I’m not a person that is good with a walk around the block or 20 squats and calling it good. I wish I were because getting myself and CBJ out is sometimes a struggle.

I like the gym, it calms me down. So I usually go every day. EVERY. DAY.

Or else…everyone can tell. EVERYONE can tell.

The gym has childcare, nice showers, and a million classes. I’m a happy camper. 🙂

The real adventure of the day was getting to the gym…

Dressed.

Jacket on. Bow in. Madri Gras necklace? Sure. Why not.

We took a moment to stop and smell the flowers. Keep in mind, it’s in the 30’s today…

Flowers make us all happy. :)

Then CBJ spotted the keys. BEST. THINGS. EVER…

Her expression is joy. My is somewhat less enthusiastic...

I gave them to her. Fully knowing that the ADT handheld clicker was on the keychain.

Mine!!!
Mine!!!

Fool mama. You fool.

Envision me.

Dropping the large bag. Grabbing the child. Trying to answer the cell phone. Apologizing to the ADT guy. All while trying to unlock the door to the house. And trying EVERY SINGLE key but the right one. All with the LOUD alarm blaring.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

We’re THAT family.

Geez. 😉

But…I do recommend ADT! They are prompt. I mean, no hesitation on the check-in call.

We’ll be keeping it classy till next post. 🙂
