Clarabelle’s Bedroom and 38 week check-up
Topic : Daily Glimpses
This week was dragging for me.
I think that’s because this is the first week I’ve really struggled to tie my shoes…and shaving my legs could’ve been considered an olympic sport yesterday with the angles and positions I was in!
We had our weekly doctor’s appointment this morning, baby is doing good, I was asking how to move things along, I think that’s kinda the usual at this point in the game!
I do want to take in these last few weeks and really enjoy being pregnant so I’m doing lots of meditation and journaling to savor the experience.
Not gonna lie….It would be easier to savor if I wasn’t starting to waddle to the top of my yoga mat when I step forward!
Here’s my picture for the week.
I know….you’re wondering where the bump went….
There she is!!
I am loving the outfit cause it is comfortable and flattering.
The “dress” is actually technically a skirt from J. Crew, I got this particular one at an outlet store but J. Crew also sold them a few years ago in the summer as a swimsuit cover-up/casual skirt.
I think doing this “dress” look is totally possible with a maxi dress from say, Gap or Old Navy.
I’m also still rocking my preggo belt which is still giving me some waist.
Doesn’t hurt that little miss has always sat really low so I’ve been able to keep using a belt!
Our check-up went good, she was wiggling and her heart rate was strong (126-128), I am on-track with my measurements/weight gain/whatnot. 🙂
I have been doing my “nesting”.
I freaked out last week cause she didn’t have white socks. So I HAD to get socks immediately.
Cause THAT’S important.
Keep in mind, her car seat…?
Still not installed in the car.
We do have her basics….
Here is the crib and I’m pointing out her “Zen” bouncer.
Not sure if you can see the colors on the bedding, her colors are gray/yellow.
We are using red/orange/bright pink for pops of color.
The gray/yellow is gender neutral and think we can use the colors for years to come…I also love the combination in life in general.
|Crib, Bouncer, Bump. Baby time!!|
The rocker for those late night/early morning/mid-morning/post-lunch/pre-dinner feedings.
|Rocker, Toys, Avery…wanting toys. 🙂|
We got a great tall cabinet to hold the books and also to place a lamp on so we wouldn’t have to turn on the lights at whatever time of the night we might be up…
|Me, bump, cabinet.
We took this picture last week so, 37 weeks. Black is good for pregnant ladies. Is it dull? Maybe.
Does it still slim? It does.
It does as much as it’s gonna “slim” a 9 months pregnant woman!
Right by the fabulous red lamp there is a piece of art work that my amazing friend Alana made for Clarabelle. It deserves a close-up! I LOVE it!
|So beautiful. Such positive affirmations- I am peace, I am joy, I am love, I am worthy.
What incredible messages and energy to send a new spirit.
And last but not least, her closet.
I mean really.
And it’s not like we don’t have a changing table with two large drawers that is completely full of clothes for her.
What can you do? Baby clothes are so cute.
|Closet of goodies. Personally I can’t wait to use the Ergos!|
I didn’t take pictures of the walls cause we don’t have anything on them!
We’re renting so we can’t paint and since our location has the potential to change sooner than later, I figured it would be easier to just leave the walls alone.
I would’ve loved to paint the walls gray but for now we’ll wait.
I’ll update as things change around here, for now we’re at hurry up and wait!
