An assortment.

Topic : Daily Glimpses

This week has been a good time.

Lots of happenings.

First bath without the seal tube (I’ve got a picture somewhere but it was a blow up seal that I didn’t have the energy to deflate as we were leaving Little Rock).

Big girl bath. Winning.

I got a really good teenager-style “annoyed at you mom” face.

Come ON mom. GEEZ.

We checked the mail quite a bit….this is a new favorite of CBJ’s.

She says, “checka da mail”. Which translates into “Check the mail”.

Which I’ll agree is fun, you never know what your gonna get and I’ve been ordering clothes for her like a mad woman of a tea collection re-sale page on facebook (don’t ask me to get you on it, I have no clue how) so every day is like a mini-shopping trip. Sweet.

Owning the front yard. I also want to do some type of "throw ya hood up" reference but I can't make it happen....

Clarabelle has been loving running around the house. She’s also started running away from us when we ask her to do something she isn’t wanting to do. She will also shake her head and yell, “no, no”, then grin and continue to haul ass.

Cute…maybe. Trying to figure out how to keep calm in the midst of the defiance…that’s more of the reality.

On the flip side of that running away, she runs up to us and gives hugs while saying, “hug, hug” and then darts off again. She gives GOOD hugs too. Not the side-hug. A REAL hug. I love them .

She also will give me hugs during our nursing, she’ll switch sides and give me a hug in-between. I’ll pet her hair and tell her that I love her. I must admit, it makes my heart melt.

There is also this…

Downward Dog? Nope. Just needing some assistance...

CBJ will stop. Drop. And put her booty in the air.

Why? She wants to be flipped (I credit Little Gym for this behavior). She into being upside down and loves the forward roll. I’ve seen her do it without assistance once but I’m happy to help her out with it.

The yoga teacher in me wanted to believe she was doing a baby yoga practice but I quickly figured out she didn’t want to linger. Ehh…that’s all good. The yoga is rubbing off in another way…she has started saying, “OM” and “Shanti”.

Do I meditate and chant in front of my child for hours you ask?

Umm…I wish the answer was yes.

Truth is she picked up a journal from one of my trainings and as I was reading the notes there was a mantra description which I chanted for her. She giggled and grinned. I kept doing it and then she copied me over and over. I’m not surprised. “OM” is the vibration of the Universe, the sound of Creation…she’s freshly created. Not a surprise she identifies with it. Pretty cool folks. Pretty cool. 🙂

And you’ll be happy to know that we do leave the house….and not just to goto the gym and to Target.

We had a lovely play-date.

Little Ladies. I spy a tutu and a cardigan. Fabulous.

The outing was not quite what we had planned because the place was having a private party BUT we all got to hangout and we had a gluten-free pizza from the restaurant next door.

CBJ had a blast. I think the feeling was mutual.

Trampoline time. Cause why not. :)

And I had a good time too. It’s nice to hang out with another mom that I would want to hang out with even if neither of us had kids. That’s a very good feeling.

Clearly it’s been a busy week. Time for bed.

Sleeping on mama. And yes, believe I take pictures of my child sleeping on me. Can't get these moments back, I document. :)

CBJ will be 18 months old tomorrow. So in real language…1 and 1/2 years old. What?!?!

When did THAT happen? It’s going to fast folks. WAAAY too fast.

Till next post~
